Tiffany Billings is named an October Young American

Tiffany Billings, a senior at SCA has been named an October Young American. The Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce  and the Daily Item sponsor the Young American program. The Young American Program recognizes outstanding accomplishments of students in participating high schools for their achievements in academic and extra-curricular activities. Tiffany enjoys playing basketball and soccer and is a varsity member of both teams. She is part of the schools praise team and is involved in the schools yearly theater productions.  Tiffany was selected to the PMEA district and regional chorus group. She has received numerous sports awards along with being recognized as a who’s who among American high school students and was the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce essay contest winner in 2012.

Tiffany is very involved in church and in the community. She has organized food and monetary drives, has gone on mission trips to Europe, Dominican Republic and inner city Philadelphia. She has volunteered for Elijah’s Bowl in Sunbury and Operation Christmas Child. After Hurricane Irene, Tiffany volunteered her time to help with the cleanup in Bloomsburg.

Tiffany plans to attend Word of Life Bible Institute upon graduation from high school and then plans to either become a missionary or transfer to Messiah College to pursue a degree in public relations. Congratulations Tiffany!
