Brandy Schroth is named a GSVCC Young American

Brandy Schroth, a senior at SCA has been named a February Young American. The Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Daily Item sponsor the Young American Program. The Young American Program recognizes outstanding accomplishments of students in participating high schools for their achievements in academic and extra-curricular activities.

Brandy has been inducted into the SCA Honor Society, has earned the Girl Scout Bronze Award and is the recipient of the Johnson and Wales Presidential Academic Scholarship. At SCA Brandy has served as Co-captain in both soccer and basketball. She has participated in track, is the senior class president and yearbook editor.

Brandy has volunteered her time working in soup kitchens, food drives and the Linus Project. She has also taken part in construction projects with her youth group and Girl Scout troop.

Brandy enjoys sports and cooking.

Brandy is planning on attending the Culinary Arts at Johnson and Wales University this fall, where she will major in Culinary Arts.
