Mixed results tonight. The Lady Eagles got behind early as Columbia County jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first half. With five minutes remaining in the first half Cierra Gross found the back of the net as the Lady Eagles finished the half only down by one. In the second half the Lady Eagles found the back of the net to tie the game but the excitement was short-lived as the goal was called back. The Lady Eagles continued to get shots off but were unable to get the game equalizer. The Lady Eagles did outshoot the Lady Defenders 10-4 but just had trouble finding an open spot to hit. Hard fought game Ladies. The girls are back in action at home on Thursday as they play host to Grace Prep.

The Eagles Taylor Edwards stormed down the field in the first 28 seconds and put a screamer inside the near post as the guys jumped out to an early 1-0 lead. With the defense locking things down the offense was able to tally another one as Branden Sheaffer put in a low shot. Going into the half the Eagles were up 2-0 but knew this was not enough to be comfortable as the second half would be promise to be even tougher than the first half. Fifteen minutes into the second half Branden Sheaffer netted his second for the night and Tanner Gutelius put in an insurance goal that seemed to ease the tension on the field. The Eagles were playing pretty relaxed and the Defenders were not about to give up as they answered with two quick goal only minutes apart. With CCCS playing with momentum they hounded the Eagles defense for the last 22 minutes of the game. The Eagles were able to stand up to the pressure as they finished the game up 4-2.
