Each Young American has the opportunity participate in two spring events, including an annual seminar involving area business leaders. Topics at the seminar focus on networking, diversity, leadership, communication, and finances.

The second event takes place annually in May at Susquehanna University’s Degenstein Campus Center. At this event, Young Americans and the families members are treated to a banquet and students are recognized for their accomplishment of being named as a Young American.

The Young American program promotes student excellence and is sponsored by the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce through collaboration with The Daily Item, The Voice of the Valley, and local broadcasting radio stations each month.
