5K and FunRun

    Saturday, March 27, 2021 

Sign-in & registration begins at 8:30am and closes at 9:45

(Same-day registrants are not guaranteed a race shirt.)

5K and FunRun begin at 10:00am 

Race Course:

  • 5K Race Course  –  Old Danville Highway, beginning at Sunbury Christian Academy campus, 135 Spruce Hollow Road, Northumberland
  • One-mile FunRun (untimed) – takes place on Sunbury Christian Academy campus

Chip shotgun start for 5K at 10:00am. RM timing software used for timed 5K race. 5K walkers begin after runners have started. Untimed shotgun start for FunRun at 10:00am.

Registration:

  • 5K Registration –  $20 by March 8th (includes race shirt) or $30 after March 8th  (race shirt guaranteed only to those registering by March 8th)
  • FunRun Registration –  $10 by March 8th (includes race shirt); Free without race shirt.
  • Sunbury Christian Academy students register for free and receive a free race shirt if registered by March 8th. If registering after March 8th, SCA students can order a race shirt for $10.

Post-Race Activities:

  • Top runners in each age group recognized and medals awarded. Cash prize awarded to top overall female and male 5K runners. 

  • Chicken barbecue take-out meals available for purchase at 11:30.

Race shirts:

Race shirts guaranteed with registration before March 8th. Race shirts may be available for purchase on race day. Cost:  $10.

Age groups:

Cash prize awarded to top overall female and male 5K runners. Medals awarded to top 3 female and top 3 male 5K runners in these age groups:   

19 yrs and under

20-29 yrs

30-39 yrs

40-49 yrs

50yrs+                                                                                                                                                                                           Medals will be awarded to the top 3 female and top 3 male FunRun finishers up to 12 years of age.
