Inflatable Star Lab

Recently students in preschool through 12th grade enjoyed a show about objects in the early winter sky.  Students had fun climbing into and looking at constellations in the inflatable planetarium which was loaned to the school for the day by Merck and Co., Inc.  Students were able to experience looking at starts in a truly “dark” sky, as well as see displays of constellations and hear about the mythological characters they are based upon.  Students also learned about the Christmas star and upcoming astronomical events like the winter solstice, the Ursids meteor shower, and fly-bys of the International Space Station.  Thank you, Merck, for investing in our students!
