JMS at SCA

The Eagles are finishing the season strong by winning their last three games. Statistically the game was pretty much even against the visiting JMS Lions tonight but the only difference was a set play with 4:10 left in the game as Blake Spangler-Jones hit the upper left 90 on a direct kick from 30 yards out. Beautiful ball on a perfect weather day for soccer.
The Eagles will finish their season on Thursday at 4:00 when the Watsontown Crusaders visit SCA. Come on out and cheer the on the guys and the seniors as they play their final game in white and green.

The Lady Eagles finished their ACAA season yesterday with a disappointing 2-1 loss to Juniata Mennonite. Things looked bright for the girls only two minutes into the game as Marissa Spangler smashed in a beautiful strike from a long throw in from Faith Gingrich. But JMS tallied two back before the half to take the lead.

The second half produced more chances for both team, the best one coming for Brianna Baumert as she took a cross in front of the goal but was unable to convert. The Lady Eagles finished 5-6-1 in the league and a winning 9-6-1 overall this season. Seniors Tiffany Billings and Jessalyn Stuck each got bouquets of flowers from their parents after the game.
