Justin Keller is selected as a Greater Susquehanna Valley Young American

Justin Keller, a senior at SCA has been named an October Young American. The Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Daily Item sponsor the Young American Program. The Young American Program recognizes outstanding accomplishments of students in participating high schools for their achievements in academic and extra-curricular activities.

Justin is an outstanding student at SCA. He enjoys studying history, is an Eagle Scout and has participated in a variety of sports.  Justin has held several leadership positions in school and in the community. He is an Eagle Scout and a Senior Patrol Leader. At SCA he has been Student Class President for the past two years. Justin has been inducted into the SCA Honor Society. Justin was a runner-up in for the American Chemical Society High School Chemical Exam and has been the recipient of multiple academic awards. Justin has been a member of the schools varsity soccer team, is a member of the track and field team and has swam for the YMCA swim team for 10 years.  Justin has volunteered his time with various charities, served in soup kitchens, is a liturgist at his church and has done various Boy Scout projects. He has also gone on mission trips.

Justin is planning on attending Bucknell or Penn State in the fall and is planning on majoring in either Chemical or Biomedical Engineering.
