K4

Students (those 4 and 5 years of age) attend either three or five full-days per week. K4 involves periods of structure, through utilizing the Abeka K4 curriculum. As part of the program, students work on letter and number recognition, phonics, counting, listening skills and number concepts, as well as the development of both fine and gross motor skills.

Singing, story-time, snack time, crafts, learning centers, and academic games, reinforce learning and encourage the development of social skills. Bible time helps students apply Biblical character qualities such as kindness, sharing, obedience, and self-control to everyday lives, while further enhancing social skills. Students also enjoy nap time, which both allows them to learn to respect the needs of others, while getting refreshed themselves.

During their year in the K4 program, your child will participate in a variety of exciting learning activities, which will ultimately prepare them to successfully transition into kindergarten the following year.
