Learning Centers

Fifth grade has been enjoying using learning centers this year. The students are assigned one of six centers each day, which include language, math, art, reading, whiteboards, and science & history.  When they finish their assigned work, off to the center they go, where they will practice, review, and have challenges to complete.  For example, an ongoing class story in language, a math game with challenging problems to master, geosafari fun, and a comfy place to read that’s even equipped with mushroom chairs and stuffed animals. There is a rotation of six days and then they receive a new partner to work with. The students are doing very well with this, and they are always excited to see what is added to the centers weekly.
