MCA at SCA

The Lady Eagles braved the hot and humid weather yesterday and despite a slow start, turned in a good effort against Meadowbrook Christian School. The Lions got off to a fast start with two goals off corner kicks and then added three more before the half. The Lady Eagles regrouped and with lots of tough defensive play and great saves from keeper Becky Gingrich, held the Lady Lions scoreless during the second half. The Eagles tallied one back when Torri Erdman converted a penalty kick mid-way through the period. Join us on Friday night for more Eagles soccer as we take on Walnut Street Christian and don’t forget that it’s elementary night for pre-k – 6th graders.

Tough night for the guys as the bench had five injured Eagles sitting out the game and no subs for the 11 on the field as they battled not only MCS but the heat and humidity. SCA was out shot 32-3 tonight as the defense got a good workout and keeper Alex Santiago had some nice saves  to keep the game close as the Eagles finished the game with a 2-0 loss.

Both teams will host Walnut Street Christian on Friday night as the cool weather returns for Elementary Night for PreK to 6th grade.
