Muhlenburg at SCA

The Lady Eagles bounced back from Tuesday’s loss in winning fashion with an 8-0 victory over Muhlenburg Christian School. The game was highlighted by Sarah Spangler and Cierra Gross knocking in two goals apiece. Brianna Baumert, Rachel Snyder and Andria Savidge also tallied for the team. Torri Erdman, Faith Gingrich and Brianna Baumert provided the assists. Join us on Saturday the 31st for an exciting day of Eagles soccer at the Line Mountain Tournament.

The Eagles rookies got the start again as the team faced off with Muhlenburg Christian today. Senior Tanner Gutelius started the scoring off with an early goal with an assist by 7th grader Derek Mathews. On a direct kick deep from the SCA defensive end Blake Spangler-Jones was able to connect with Adam Clemens for the second goal. Seniors Tanner Gutelius finished the night with a second goal and was assisted by Blake Spangler-Jones. The second half was all up to the young guys as they fired off 25 shots but were unable to connect with the back of the net. Today’s final score of 3-0 put the Eagles in the win column for the teams first win of the season as they even up a 1-1 overall record. The team will be in action again this Saturday at the Line Mountain Tournament as they meet Mt. Carmel Area High School at 3:30.
