Norry Christian at SCA

In front of a large hometown crowd of over 200 SCA and Northumberland fans both SCA teams came up short with 2-0 losses. The Lady Eagles were holding their ground as they were able to keep the Lady Warriors away from the net at the start of the first half. The Lady Warriors kept the pressure up and were able to put two past SCA’s Maddie Latshaw. The Lady Eagles were able to get six shots off on goal but were unable to find the back of the net during the second half. A much needed weekend break will allow some rest as the next game is Monday September17 at home versus Meadowbrook.

The Eagles controlled much of the first half and the chances at net were not coming easy for either team. Both teams were unable to put one in the net during the scoreless first half. The second half started off even again as both teams missed some opportunities to score. With the time ticking off the clock it looked like the game would end in a draw but the Warriors struck with 11 minutes left in the game as it seemed the Eagles were slowing down the intensity of their play. With momentum swinging towards the NCS side of the field they capped the game off with another score five minutes later. The Eagles tried to respond with a few late game shots but were unable to capitalize on any of their shots as the Eagles suffered their first league loss of the season with a final score of 0-2.
