Operation Christmas child

Student Council is asking for your help by partnering with us as we support Samaritans Purse through Operation Christmas Child (OCC). SCA will be collecting OCC shoeboxes from now until Tuesday, November 14. Our collection goal is 100 boxes. Instructions on how to pack a shoebox are available in the SCA office. Family and friends are encouraged to participate. Students will be awarded a dress down day for every completed box!
OCC is the world’s largest Christmas project of its kind, using gift-filled shoeboxes to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Since 1993, OCC has collected and delivered more than 146 million shoebox gifts to children in more than 160 countries and territories. Each year, the project mobilizes more than 150,000 volunteers in the United States. Since 2010, more than 11 million children who have received a shoebox gift have participated in The Greatest Journey—a 12-lesson discipleship program. Children learn from trained, local volunteers what it means to follow Jesus and share their faith with friends and family.
Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to victims of war, natural disasters, disease, famine, poverty and persecution in more than 100 countries, with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His son, Jesus Christ.
