The Lady Eagles soared to a 6-1 victory over Bloomsburg Christian School on Thursday with strikes from Marissa Spangler, Cierra Gross and Brandy Schroth. Captain Tiffany Billings also found the net for her first career goal with a strong run up the middle and a nice finish. Torri Erdman’s strong play on the outside coupled with her three assists greatly contributed to the win.

Improvements in the passing game, better movement off the ball and strong performances from Jenna Stuck, Brianna “Little H” Hernandez and Rachel Snyder aided in the victory. The Lady Eagles will be taking on New Covenant Academy tomorrow for a vital league game.

The Eagles had trouble getting organized tonight and made several misplays that cost them early as BCS went up 2-0 early in the game. Momentum shifted and the Eagles fired off shots at the net but were only able to get 1 in as the team suffered a 2-1 loss tonight in this non-league match-up. The Eagles will be back in play on Friday as the team visits New Covenant Academy.
