An inspired effort by the Lady Eagles yielded a vital 5-1 league victory over Juniata Mennonite School on Tuesday with goals from Marissa Spangler, Rachel Snyder, Torri Erdman, Brianna Baumert and Faith Gingrich. Faith also tallied two assists and Marissa Spangler helped out on another.

A tough and determined midfield complimented by a strong defensive effort only allowed JMS six shots on goal and kept the play in the offensive half most of the game. The Lady Eagles now sit in fourth place in the AACA standings with a 3 & 3 record.

Tough day for the Eagles as they fell 4-1 to JMS today. To add to the defeat starters Seth Kabonick did not play due to an injury and Tanner Gutelius took a good hit during the game and did not return to the lineup. The team battled on and Blake Spangler-Jones added the one highlight to the game when he had a direct kick from 50 yards out that took a high bounce inside the 18 and over the keeper to give SCA its only goal of the game.
