The Lady Eagles squeezed out a narrow 4-3 victory on Friday highlighted by two goals from striker Marissa Spangler. Brianna “Tater” Baumert and Brandy Schroth each added goals and Torri Erdman continued her fantastic play with two assists and hard work at left midfield for this important league victory. The Lady Eagles are currently in fourth place in the AACA standings and have crucial games against Juniata Mennonite and Norry Christian this week.

The Eagles put up a W in their ACAA win column with a 6-1 win over Walnut Street Christian this Friday. Adam Clemens started the scoring off early just under two minutes into the game with an assist from Seth Kabonick. Tanner Gutelius came off of the injured list today and quickly added another goal to his season total to send the Eagles into halftime with a 2-0 lead. Karch Carey for his first start of the season after a long year recovering from a back injury also let his presence be known as he scored twice in the second half to give the Eagles a comfortable lead. Seth Kabonick was fouled in the box with 14 minutes left in the game as he found the back of the net for the fifth goal of the game for SCA. Adam Clemens finished the game the same way he started, with a goal as the Eagles took their first ACAA win of the season.

Busy week of soccer for both teams as they travel to Juniata Mennonite on Monday and host Grace Prep on Tuesday and Norry Christian on Friday. Come on out and cheer on the teams this week as the weather will be perfect for soccer.
